Michael Loftus began his career at a TV station in Baltimore, MD as a master control operator. Soon he was lighting and directing local programming and regional spots. Not far away, Capitol Hill provided him the opportunity to be part of the Senate and House Radio Television Gallery. There, Loftus shot news and live programming for nearly every network and emerging cable channel, while also doing his share of commercial advertising. Before long, Loftus found himself at the outset of tabloid television, shooting show segments, reenactments and remote hosting. His move to Los Angeles came as an invitation to be a crew chief on the new Candid Camera.

In LA he segued back to the commercial and documentary genres, where he has shot hundreds of projects, including development presentations, pilots, and promos, with title sequences ranging from Access Hollywood to Judge Mathis. Loftus’ photography talent has garnered industry awards, and his deftly shot noir film, Rush of the Palms, grabbed, among others, an International Critics Award.
A comprehensive and in-depth understanding of film, video, and digital formats affords Loftus’ clients confidence in an industry of varied workflows, while his creative eye and prescient camera skills assure a quality production.
